
Stem Stitch
Stem Stitch (Dandy Tank) is very easy to make. As shown by name, it like the stems of plants. This stitch is used to make DANDIA (Stems) of flowers, leaves and outline of various outlining shapes/boundary of embroidery. Stem Stitch is also used for filling various shapes with variety color of embroidery thread. Using different thread shed or repeated lines can be filled in any designs that are used on every type of cloth. Dandy Tank is made from left to right or right to the left. And in this the sticks are trimmed and closer to it.
Requirement of Stem Stitching
The following items are required to make a Stem Stitch.
- A piece of cotton cloth 20 x 20 cm
- 2 wire embroidered thread
- Stitching Frame
- Trace a small flower on the cotton cloth. Use a soft knit pencil to remove the sample.
- Clothes are usually tied in Embroidery Frame tightly so that they can be done neatly and easily. Embroidery Frame is made of wood and has 2 parts. One is smaller and the other is a bit bigger. Both are fixed in each other and a screw is used to tight and bind both the parts. Loose frame screws of Embroidery Frame and apply cloth in the small part of Embroidery Frame. Keep the bigger part over it and after fixation, tight the screw.
- Put the thread in needle and bring it straight to the cloth where you start working. Now take the needle a bit ahead and bring the B out of the sketch and take it down, now take the needle straight to the alphabet B on the C and stretch it.
- Now put the needle in D and get the E out of E , the place is A holes, in this way, keep this process.
